Blackjack is a card game. The object of this game is to accumulate cards with point totals as close to 21 without going over 21. Face cards (Jacks, Queens and Kings) are worth 10 points. Aces are worth 1 or 11, whichever is preferable. Other cards are represented by their number.
If you are unsure about anything our helpful gaming team will be happy to answer any questions you have.
Digital Blackjack has 6 decks of virtual cards. These cards are dealt to 6 different displays for players provided a bet is placed on the betting area on the display, and one display is dedicated for the dealer.
Remember you are playing against the dealer, so you need to asses the chances of their hand exceeding 21. The dealer has to take cards up to a total of 16 and cannot take any more cards once their total reaches 17 or more. If you wish, you may play more than one hand at a time.
Depending on the value of the first two cards, the dealer will remind you of your other option (as opposed to just take a card or stay). These are as follows:
Doubling
You can double your bet on your initial first two cards by buying a third card equal to your initial bet, however you will only receive one card and no further cards.
Split bets
You can split your hand if the first two cards you receive are a pair. This means you get two chances of beating the Dealer. For each new hand you must place the equivalent of your original bet. If you split Aces, the Dealer will only add one card to each hand; if that card is a ten or court card, it counts as 21 not Blackjack.
Insurance bets
If the Dealer's card is Ace you can insure against the Dealer receiving a Blackjack with the second card. You may bet up to half of your original stake on the insurance box. This bet pays 2 to 1, if the Dealer is dealt a Blackjack. However, if the Dealer does not receive a Blackjack, your winning hand would be paid but the insurance bet would lose.
Surrender
If you wish to drop out of the game on your initial two cards, you can surrender by forfeiting half of your bet before any further cards are dealt.
How to play
| • |
Place your chips before play, on the box in front of you. |
| • |
The Dealer will deal two cards to each player and one to themselves.(all cards are face up). |
| • |
All picture cards are valued 10. Aces are valued as 1 or 11 depending on your preference. |
| • |
The Dealer will then offer each player the option of drawing more cards on their hand. If you would like to have a card tap the table on the display area and say 'card please'. If you do not want any more cards, say 'stay' or 'no card' by moving your flat hand palm down across the display area on the table. |
| • |
If you draw cards with a total value of more than 21 you will be 'bust” and lose even if the Dealer subsequently goes over 21 as well. |
| • |
When each player is satisfied with their hand, the Dealer draws a card for themselves. |
| • |
Winning bets are paid even money. However, if you receive 'Blackjack'( your first two initial cards totaling 21) you are paid odds of 3 to 2 (i.e. if you had Rs. 100/- you would receive Rs. 150/-) |
| • |
If the Dealer has the same hand as you, a 'tied hand' or “stand off' no one wins or loses. |
- Minimum bets vary from Rs. 100/- to Rs. 500/-
- Maximum bets vary from Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 50,000/- |
